SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) -  Sioux Falls police are adding more daytime patrols Tuesday through Friday this week watching for stop sign and red light violators.

Lieutenant Jerry Miller says the extra officers will work from seven to six daily.

Miller say patrols will work major arteries such as Minnesota, 41st Street, West 12th, East 10th and Cliff.  He says officers will focus on stop sign runners, drivers who don't stop before making a right hand turn and those who gun through a red arrow on left turns.

Miller says you should stop in a yellow light and come to a complete stop at signs and lights.

Miller says red light violators cause crashes, injury and property damage.
