SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) – On Tuesday, June 17, 2014, the South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin repairing the bridge columns for the Interstate 90 bridges over Interstate 29.
Through traffic for northbound I-29 will be reduced to two lanes, and the westbound ramp exit lane will be closed while the repair work is being completed. Construction at this location is expected to last approximately two weeks
All ramp traffic will be maintained during the construction. However, motorists accessing I-29 North from I-90 East should be aware that the area to merge into mainline traffic will be extremely limited.
All motorists using the I-29 and I-90 interchange should be aware of the ongoing construction activities, equipment and personnel in the area and should use caution when proceeding through the interchange.
The prime contractor for this project is SFC Civil Constructors of Sioux Falls.
