Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) There was a very unusual breaking and entering at the Gateway Apartments in Sioux Falls early Wednesday morning.
Police Sgt. Paul Creviston says a deer jumped through the glass of a closed window into a vacant apartment. He says when he got there and looked through the living room window there was a small buck staring back at him, bleeding on the carpet.
Sgt. Creviston says the severely injured deer had to be put down by staffers from the Great Plains Zoo. He says sometimes during rutting season you may see this happen, but not in the summer.
