Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) – Officials with the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center held a news conference today to discuss the quick sellouts that the first three concert events have produced. Chris Semrau, Assistant General Manager of the facility, said that high demand has been the driving factor. Semrau said while the center does conduct “pre-sale” events for employees of certain businesses, fan club members, and members of the center’s mailing list, the majority of tickets are still held for the general public. Semerau said in some cases those who qualify for a pre-sale are still being left empty handed the day of the pre-sale.
He emphasized the quick sellouts are a positive for the area and show that Sioux Falls is ready to support an arena that will bring in top quality entertainment. Semrau says they will continue to allow for pre-sales as the concert promoters wish, while making sure that a majority of the tickets are held for sale to the general public.
Semrau also gave an update on one of the Arena’s cornerstone tenants, the Sioux Falls Stampede hockey club. The arena is working with the USHL to finalize the Herd’s 2014-15 schedule, with tickets set to go on sale later this summer.
