SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Like mosquitos, door-to-door salesmen are making their rounds in Sioux Falls and one was arrested yesterday.

Officer Sam Clemens says the 21-year-old from Chicago was selling Worldwide cleaning supplies without a city permit or state sales tax license.

Clemens says the City and State Department of Revenue work closely to verify that the salesman are legitimate.  He says they can do that only when the salesman complies with the laws requiring a peddler's permit and sales tax license.

The salesman was also charged with possession of marijuana.

The state laws are midemeanors and the city permit is a citation.
