Western Avenue Lane ShiftBeginning on Tuesday, August 6, traffic on South Western Avenue between West 57th Street and South Crossing Place will be shifted so that northbound traffic will be in the outside northbound lane, and southbound traffic will be in the outside southbound lane. This adjustment will allow the contractor to begin work on the medians between 57th Street and Crossing Place.
During construction, one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Western Avenue, but traffic delays are expected. Please use caution while travelling through the construction zone.
Third Street Closure Extended
The closure at the intersection of West Third Street and North Kiwanis Avenue will be extended until Friday, August 9, 2013. The contractor will continue paving on Kiwanis Avenue. Detour signs will be placed to direct traffic over to Sixth Street. Access to local businesses will be maintained. Caution and reduced speeds shall be used when traveling through the construction zone.
