SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls police went to seven fireworks complaints on Tuesday and 25 yesterday.
There will be more today and even more on Friday the 4th.
Officer Sam Clemens says it’s illegal to discharge fireworks that explode or deliver a projectile in the city limits. He says that leaves sparklers, snakes and smoke bombs that are okay in the city.
Clemens says it's up to the officer to issue a warning or a ticket. If you're a repeat or chronic offender you may get a citation.
Clemens says a fireworks citation is a $95 fine.
