Luverne, MN (KELO AM) - For a second time this week officials in Rock County, MN are dealing with a deadly vehicle versus pedestrian accident.
Shortly after 8 Wednesday night 71 year old Marv Cleppe was attempting to cross Main Street in a motorized wheelchair when he was struck by a moving truck. He was taken to Sanford Luverne hospital where he was pronounced dead as a result of the crash. The driver of the truck was Timothy James of Chattanooga, TN, and according to the police report he was not distracted at the time of the accident. Toxicology tests were also administered however police do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation. Earlier this week 33 year old Andrea Boeve was killed while on a bike ride with her two children, the driver in that crash was Christopher Weber of Madison, who admitted that he was distracted by a mobile banking call at the time of the crash.
