Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Officers were called to Van Eps Park, 300 this evening for yet another stabbing incident. Police say a 51 year old victim was stabbed in the park at around 6:20, while enroute, officers were updated with the identity of the suspect and that she was last seen running eastbound from the park.
Officers made contact with the 51-year-old male victim, who said that he had been jumped from behind by the suspect and his chin was cut. Rural Metro Ambulance and Sioux Falls Fire Rescue arrived on the scene to treat the victim, whos injuries were non-life-threatening. After the paramedics bandaged him, he refused further medical care and left the park.
A search was conducted and the suspect was located in front of a local business at 6:42 PM. The suspect, Hazel H. Dupris age 33 was arrested for Aggravated Assault and lodged in the Minnehaha County Jail.
