SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Russian crime ring allegedly hacked the largest known collection of user name and password combinations.
Jessie Schmidt with Better Business Bureau says as a precaution protect your password security. She says now is a good time to change your passwords, which is something that should be done regularly.
Schmidt says to be creative and not just use your kids or grandkid's names. Use a mix of symbols and numbers in your password
Schmidt says the hackers may have gotten 1.2 billion unique email addresses and passwords, or roughly the population of China.
