SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A rare, fake video lottery ticket cost a Sioux Falls’ casino hundreds of dollars according to Captain Greg VandeKamp.
VandeKamp says the fraudsters added some numbers to their ticket making it appear as a winner and the casino cashed it. The didn't find the altered ticket until closing.
VandeKamp says in another fraud case a victim was swindled out of $2,000 buying rugs from a vendor who rented space at the Convention Center. The victim took the rug for an appraisal and was told it was a fake.
VandeKamp says the vendor, Estate Liquidators from New Jersey, was selling high end items last weekend. He says there could be other victims
