Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) There will be approximately 160 new teachers from 15 different states and four countries in the classrooms when the Sioux Falls School District opens for a new year August 18th.
Assistent Superintendent Josh Hall says the new teachers are excited to get going and the District is excited to have them. Hall says only a couple of teaching positions are yet to be filled due to some unexpected late resignations.
Hall says there are lots of new things for the new year, including the new McGovern Middle School, i-pads for teachers to use from kindergarten to 2nd grade, and a new 24/7 way for parents to keep in touch called 'Let's Talk' on the School District website.
