SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) – The city of Sioux Falls, in collaboration with the South Dakota Department of Transportation, is advising motorists that right turns will not be allowed at the 10th Street intersection for people traveling southbound on Sycamore Avenue starting on Monday, Aug. 11, at 6 a.m.
This work is anticipated to be completed by late Tuesday evening.
Traffic on 10th Street and Sycamore Avenue will continue to carry one lane of traffic in each direction. Motorists can expect delays, suddenly slowing and merging traffic, and should be aware of construction equipment and workers adjacent to the driving lane.
The contractor will continue work on the north side of 10th Street including grading, underground utilities, curb and gutter, storm sewer, retaining wall, signals, roadway lighting, pavement marking, permanent signing and concrete paving.
This work is part of the $2.77 million 10th Street and Sycamore Avenue intersection improvement project.
The prime contractor is T & R Contracting, Inc. of Sioux Falls.
The overall completion date for the project is Oct. 3, 2014.
