Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Cinema Falls announces an advance screening of Richard Linklater's highly publicized and awarded film BOYHOOD. The screening will be held at the Century 14 Theaters on Thursday, August 14th    with doors opening at 6:30pm and film at 7pm. Tickets are available online only with no cash or credit card sales allowed at the theater per Cinemark policy.

BOYHOOD was filmed over a 12-year time frame with shooting commencing for one week during each year. Rather than using actors to portray the passage of time for its central actor, the film uses the same actor from childhood to young adulthood. The film's use of this approach is unprecedented.

BOYHOOD has earned the highest possible ratings on Metacritic.com and Rotten Tomatoes, sites that aggregate film reviews from recognized critics. BOYHOOD has won awards at the Berlin Film Festival, Heartland Film Festival, SXSW, and the Seattle International Film Festival. The film opened earlier in the summer with a limited roll out. Director Richard Linklater is known for such films as BEFORE SUNRISE, BEFORE SUNSET, BEFORE MIDNIGHT as well as BERNIE, SCHOOL OF ROCK and many others.

"Cinema Falls is pleased to launch our Fall 2014 season by delivering a first look at a film our fans have been asking for all summer," stated founder, Julie Anderson Friesen. "The film has already been called a masterpiece by critics. Our ticket sales so far have been brisk."   BOYHOOD is Rated R with a TRT of 165 minutes. Doors open at 6:30pm with film at 7PM. No tickets can be sold at the theater and require a private ticket link with password. LINK: http://www.cinemafallsboyhood.eventbrite.com PASSWORD: CINEMAFALLSBOYHOOD. Tickets can be purchased online and exchanged for a voucher the night of the film at the Century 14 theater. Guests will be guided to the correct theater.

Cinema Falls hosted a similar event to this one for Wes Anderson's GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL which sold out quickly. Season pass holders who have paid for their Fast Pass do not need to purchase a ticket as this film is included. More information on the upcoming season will be announced at the film.
