Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Starting Tuesday, September 2, 2014, the west half of 41st Street and Ellis Road will be closed to traffic. The closure is part of the 41st Street Reconstruction Project from Ellis Road to Sertoma Avenue.
41st Street traffic and traffic to the Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill will be detoured along Highway 17, 12th Street, and Sertoma Avenue.
Traffic at Ellis Road will be open to northbound and southbound traffic only. Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Work in the west half of the intersection will require the closure for approximately six weeks.
The 41st Street Reconstruction Project from Ellis Road to Sertoma Avenue is anticipated to be substantially complete late November 2014.
