Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM)  - Road work and projects for the week of September 1  

 

 

Lane Closures - W 49th Street – I-29 to Louise Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 various lane closures will occur on W 49th Street between I-29 and Louise Avenue to allow crews to perform some miscellaneous road repairs in this area.

Traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times. Traffic delays are to be expected. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction areas and may wish to consider alternate routes. Weather permitting, the work is expected to last pproximately four weeks.

The City of Sioux Falls Public Works/Street Division will be doing concrete repairs in this area.

Lane Closure – Minnesota Avenue

At 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, September 2, 2014, the outside northbound lane on Minnesota Avenue will be closed north of Batcheller Lane. Northbound traffic will use the inside northbound lane.

Q3 Contracting will be replacing a sidewalk panel. The work is anticipated to be finished by the evening of September 2, 2014.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – 57th Street

At 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, September 2, 2014, the outside westbound lane on 57th Street will be closed west of Tennis Lane. Westbound traffic will use the inside westbound lane.

Blacktop Paving Company will be replacing a parking lot. The work is anticipated to be finished by the evening of September 3, 2014.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Falls Park Restroom Closure Beginning on Tuesday, September 2, construction will begin on the new restroom on the west side of Falls Park. The existing restroom will be closed during construction. Portable restrooms will be available near the same location. Permanent restrooms are available in the Visitor Information Center. Construction is expected to be complete by November 2014.
