SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - For the last 19 campaigns, Sioux Empire United Way has exceeded its goals.
Campaign Chair Paul Bruflat will reveal this year’s goal Friday and talk about new programs like “Ready to Start.”
Bruflat says it's a five-week progran for children focusing on essential skills just prior to the first day of kindergarten. Other new programs include Boys and Girls Club of the Sioux Empire, Eastside Club and the Multi-Cultural Center of Sioux Falls, Froggy Reads.
Last year's goal was just shy of $10 million dollars but it still exceeded the announced campaign goal. Sioux Empire United Way partners with 44 agencies, providing funds to 88 programs.
The United Way announcement is tomorrow morning at eight at the Convention Center.
