Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - September 5th, features the fourth and final Downtown Block Party on the Eastbank this summer.  2014 is the first year that Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc. has expanded to host four Block Parties.  Tomorrow, enjoy live music, great food, cool beverages and free kids' activities at 8th & Railroad Center from 6:00pm - 10:30pm.  As always, admission is free.

Headlining tomorrow will be East of Westreville.  East of Westreville is Americana roots music: bluegrass, blues, gospel, folk, and country—an ever-changing mix of music and memories.  East of Westreville is reminiscent of the days when all that was needed for entertainment was a barn dance or a Philco radio and a comfy chair. Get ready for a great evening of foot-stomping, handclapping music, intertwined with homespun humor featuring Kaija Bonde (vocals), Boyd Bristow (lead guitar & vocals), Brian Bonde (lead guitar & vocals) and Al Slaathaug (acoustic upright bass).

The opening band, Condor, is not your average string band trio.  The instrumentation of Cello, Guitar, and Banjo provides a rich musical texture that sounds bigger than just the three instruments. Each member brings original material to the group and the rest make it their own. Some of the stylistic influences range from swing, jazz, bluegrass, old-time, funk, and even classical.  "When Condor showed up to perform on the White Wall Sessions, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, I had never really seen a guitar/cello duo before. After the first song, my mind was put to ease (it was blown, actually). It was one of the most unique sounds I had ever heard." - Jeff Zueger, Producer of The White Wall Sessions.

First Bank & Trust is providing a kids’ bounce house from 6:00 – 9:00. Next to the inflatable, stop by the First Bank & Trust booth to register for a grand prize giveaway!  Face Painting will also be available for kids or kids at heart for $5 - $15.

Eastbank has become one of the major arts attractions and shopping anchors of the downtown community. Party-goers are encouraged to take a stroll along the boardwalk of 8th and Railroad Center to experience all there is to offer including a great shopping experience.
