Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) – Here are the Sioux Falls street projects starting this week. Main Avenue Lane Closure
Beginning on Monday, September 15, 2014, the northbound lane of Main Avenue north of Fifth Street will be closed to allow construction crews to perform curb and gutter repairs. Northbound traffic will utilize the center turn lane. Southbound Main Avenue traffic will not be affected by this work.
This work is expected to be complete in approximately one day.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Dakota Avenue Lane Closure
Beginning on Monday, September 15, 2014, the far left lane of northbound Dakota Avenue north of Eighth Street will be closed to allow construction crews to perform curb and gutter repairs. The remaining two lanes of northbound traffic will not be affected by this work.
This work is expected to be complete in approximately one day.

Phillips Avenue Lane Closure
Beginning on Monday, September 15, 2014, the northbound lane of Phillips Avenue south of Eighth Street will be closed to allow construction crews to perform curb and gutter repairs. Northbound traffic on Phillips Avenue will utilized the northbound left turn lane. Traffic on Eighth Street and southbound traffic on Phillips Avenue will not be affected by this work.
This work is expected to be complete in approximately one day.

Lane Closures – 14th Street and Second Avenue
On Tuesday morning, September 16, 2014, the inside southbound and inside northbound lanes on Second will be closed between 13th Street and 14th Street. Traffic will be shifted, but will be maintained in both directions at all times. The two westbound lanes on 14th Street will also be closed at Second Avenue. Traffic will be shifted, but will be maintained in both directions at all times.
Kempf Construction will be installing utilities. The work is anticipated to be finished, weather permitting, by the evening of September 19, 2014.

Lane Closures – 12th Street
On Tuesday morning, September 16, 2014, the two westbound lanes and center turn lane on 12th Street will be closed west of Valley View Road. Westbound traffic will use the inside eastbound lane.
Soukup Construction will be installing utilities. The work is anticipated to be finished, weather permitting, by the evening of September 19, 2014.

Lane Closure – South Minnesota Avenue
Beginning on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, a portion of the outside southbound lane of South Minnesota Avenue at West 28th Street will be closed due to an inlet repair project. The inside southbound lane will remain open to traffic at all times.
With weather permitting, this portion of the project is anticipated to be completed by September 25, 2014.

Lane Closure – North Fourth Avenue
Beginning on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, a portion of the outside northbound lane of North Fourth Avenue at East Presentation Street will be closed due to an inlet repair project. The inside northbound lane will remain open to traffic at all times.
With weather permitting, this portion of the project is anticipated to be completed by September 24, 2014.

Lane Closure – North Minnesota Avenue
Beginning on Monday, September 15, 2014, a portion of the outside southbound lane of North Minnesota Avenue, south of West Russell Street, will be closed due to an inlet repair project. The inside southbound lane will remain open to traffic at all times.
With weather permitting, this portion of the project is anticipated to be completed by September 22, 2014.

Lane Closure – Benson Road
On Monday morning, September 15, 2014, the outside westbound lane on Benson Road will be closed east of Minnesota Avenue. Westbound traffic will use the inside westbound lane.
Sioux Falls Construction will be performing bridge repairs. The work is anticipated to be finished, weather pending, by the evening of September 19, 2014.
