SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Traffic at Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway Airports is moving slowly this afternoon after a fire at an air traffic control facility closed both this morning.
Sioux Fall Regional Airport Manager Dan Lettellier says most flights into and out of Chicago are affected.
Lettelier says if you are traveling on American or United you need to contact their reservation centers and check on the status of your flight. You can also go to the airport website: www.sfairport.com/
It’s the second time since May a fire at control facility has grounded flights out of Chicago’s airports.
