Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) The City of Sioux Falls continues to battle pesky mosquitos into the fall. City Vector Control Manager Denise Patton says reports of the increased mosquito activity prompted the division to get going with a late fall eradication effort. More funding has been committed to the fight, extra crews have been employed,and they've been out spraying this weekend. The wet start to summer and the standing water is to blame for this year's population of the pest.
