SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Fire Rescue closes Fire Prevention Week tomorrow going door-to-door in the Hayward School area.
Fire Marshall Dean Lanier says crews will put in free, ten-year smoke alarms.
Lanier says the effort is part of a program called "Growing Reslient" where Fire Rescue, the Red Cross and other non-profits reach out to citizens installing smoke alarms, checking blood pressures and offering information on disaster preparedness.
Lanier says the plan is to visit 1,200 homes tomorrow.
