SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls man was pistol whipped in a home robbery last night on North Pontiac Place between I-229 and North Cliff Avenue.
Officer Sam Clemens says the suspect walked into the couple’s unlocked trailer home demanding money. Clemens says the victim said he didn't have any money in the home going so far as to open some drawers to show the suspect.
Clemens says the robber managed to take some cash, jewelry and a cell phone.
A female in the trailer followed the suspect out the door and he turned firing two rounds into the home missing both occupants.
Clemens says the suspect got over a thousand dollars cash in the robbery.
He’s described as a black male, six feet tall, 220 pounds and wearing a black jacket.
