SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Banquet is the only agency that provides school supplies for students in need in the Sioux Falls area.
Special Events Director Madeline Shields says The Banquet gives more than 6,400 school supply packets to students in need.
Shields says children must be with an adult and have identification for tomorrow’s event at Whittier Middle School. Shields says a birth certificate, social security card, a Medicaid card or a library card will work. It has to be something with the childs name on it.
Shields advises parents and guardians to not line up early in the morning. She says police will tell early morning attendees to leave and not return before 7 a.m.
“Supply Our Students” is Saturday, August 17, from nine to four at Whittier MIddle School at 930 East 6th Street.
