SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The American Heart Association expects over three-thousand walkers and runners in Saturday's Heart Walk at Falls Park.
Director of Corporate and Media Relations Chrissy Meyer says Heart Walk raises funds to fight heart disease and stroke.
Meyer says it’s never too late to adopt a healthier life style. She says 80% of heart disease is preventable. So by makeing simple by making simple changes in your lifestyle; eating more ruits and vegetables, moving more, getting active, you can reduce your risk.
Meyer says the Heart Festival includes inflatables, balloon twisters, refreshments, educational booths and free blood pressure screenings.
The Heart Walk begins tomorrow morning at eight at Falls Park.
