SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls police wrote 114 citations in a saturation patrol with ten extra officers over the weekend.
Lieutenant David McIntyre says there were five D-W-I arrests and believes the patrols mean fewer impaired drivers.McIntyre says awareness is key and if impaired drivers remember to find alternate modes of travel because one driver was arrested during a saturation then that's a victory.
McIntyre says there ten drivers cited for revoked, suspended or no license.Federal grants available to local police stations make the saturation patrols possible
