Sioux Falls, SD, (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls Police Department conducted an alcohol compliance check last night of 25 percent off sale businesses in the city. Of the 25 business checked, 24 passed.
The Get-n-Go at 1500 West 12 Street failed the check. The clerk that sold alcohol to the underage person was cited for furnishing alcohol to a person 18-20 years old and given a mandatory court appearance.
Businesses that fail the compliance checks face fines and repeat violators could have their alcohol license suspended or revoked.
In an effort to protect the youth in our community, the Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to conduct random alcohol compliance checks.
