Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - It is time to “Fall Back”! Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning. When setting your clocks back one hour tonight, don’t forget to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
Most fire deaths occur in homes where smoke alarms are not working properly or not present at all. The most common reasons that alarms fail? Dead or missing batteries.
Batteries should be changed at least once a year. Remember to test your alarms monthly, or replaced when ten years old.
Alarms should be place in every level of the home, and inside and outside sleeping areas.
