Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Longtime South Dakota political figure Tim Johnson will hold his final stop of the “Tour of Thanks” in Sioux Falls Thursday at the Orpheum Theater. The Democrat will be joined by the likes of Mayor Mike Huether, Chamber of Commerce President Evan Nolte, and Adjutant General of the SD National Guard Tim Reisch.
The public is invited to come out beginning at 4PM Thursday for coffee and the opportunity to hear from Johnson. A program highlighting his 27 years of service in Washington as well as his time as a South Dakota State lawmaker will begin at 4:30.
Johnson’s Tour of Thanks has made stops in Rapid City and Yankton as well. His seat in the Senate will turn over to former Governor Mike Rounds next year.
