SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Longtime South Dakotans aren’t surprised Monday’s forecast calls for three inches of snow and single-digit lows midweek but it doesn’t mean we’re happy about it.
Sioux Falls forecaster Mike Fuhs says still-warm surface temperatures will work in our favor. Fuhs says rain will start Sunday night and change to snow Monday morning. He says the warm surface may melt the snow and turned the remainder into slush.
No record lows in the forecast but Fuhs says there could be record, low-highs later next week. He says temperatures will be 20 degrees, or more, below normal.
