Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) A unique $2.4 million affordable housing project is a big chunk of cash closer to groundbreaking in Sioux Falls.
Affordable Housing Solutions held a news conference on Wednesday to thank Wells Fargo and the City of Sioux Falls for their latest total committment of $500,000, and to show the first renderings of the development called the "Field of Dreams."
Solutions Housing Development Director Wayne Wagner says the "Field of Dreams" is a 24-unit twin home and townhome project built in pocket neighborhood style for low- and moderate income people to own, not rent. it will be built at South Sycamore and 15th Street in South Sioux Falls. They hope to break ground sometime next year.
The Field of Dreams will have a community room that will be utilized for many types of gatherings, a community garden and porches. The homes will be built around a central green space.
