SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The idea is to make public access defibrillator locations in Sioux Falls more noticeable by using art.
Katy Krueger with Rural Metro says the effort is blend of health care and the arts. Rural Metro Ambulance, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, the American heart Association, Avera Heart Hospital of South Dakota and the Sioux Falls Arts Council called for artists of all levels to submit designs for enhancing the visibility of public access defibrillators.
Krueger says over 40 submissions were received and the winner was a 16-year-old girl from Alexandria, South Dakota.
Defibrillator art can be seen at the downtown library, Washington Pavilion, city hall and the Denny Sanford PREMIERE Center.
