SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The latest count shows over 600 homeless in Sioux Falls with 200 being children.
The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House on North Indiana Avenue is set to open in early January.
Executive Director Chafd Campbell Chad Campbell says the mission of the House is to serve the homeless and vulnerable.
The House will be run by the Good Shepherd Center which will relocate from its current downtown Sioux Falls site.
Campbell says there will be beds for men and women and seven family rooms.
The Hospitality House observed National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week with a series of weeklong events to help the community learn more about the face of homelessness and how everyone can pitch in to help.
