SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls School District holds a public hearing today on a plan to annex the Cherry Lake development at West 12th Street and the Tea-Ellis Road.
Board President Kent Alberty says Sioux Falls schools would get the development’s residential property taxes.
Alberty says all the taxes paid by commercial interests will go to the West Central School District in perpituity. West Central School Board is also holding a public hearing on the matter tonight.
Alberty says the project could be put on hold if the legislature passes a bill limiting increases on capital outlay levies.
