SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls City Council tonight considers adoption of the 2025 Downtown Plan and its 13 goals.
Community Development Director Darrin Smith says citizen groups worked on the plan for over a year. Smith says the groups began by identifying downtown Sioux Falls strengths and weaknesses.
Smith says some headlines include rail yard redevelopment, continued development of the River Greenway and residential living that will drive more economic development downtown
Council also has first reading of an ordinance allowing council participation in respective political parties.
Council meets tonight at 7 at Carnegie Town Hall.
