SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls man told police he fell asleep before crashing his car into the side of the Ramada motel on West 12th Street yesterday afternoon.
But, Officer Sam Clemens says 19 year old Andrew Severson is facing a second driving while impaired charge.
Clemens says police recovered pill bottles and cans of Dust Off from the vehicle. He says police have made arrests of drivers using prescription pills, illegal drugs and cans of Dust Off. He says the most common DWI charge is alcohol but it does't have to be just alcohol.
Clemens says witness estimate that Severson was traveling between forty and fifty miles an hour before the crash.
