Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO-AM) - A Blizzard Warning is in effect for parts of northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota through Sunday evening. Northwest winds at 30 to 40 mph combined with light snow is creating near white out conditions across portions of the region. Expect light snow to slowly taper off during the overnight hours as the winds slow decrease into the 15 to 25 mph range in most areas by daybreak. Also a Wind Chill Advisory is in effect throughout the region as wind chills of 25 to 35 below zero are expected overnight. Looking ahead, another round of accumulating snow will spread across the region on Monday. Winter Storm watches are in effect for a good portion of the Northern Plains.
