Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - The Wind Chill Advisory has been extended through noon on Monday. Wind chills of 20 to 35 below zero are possible through Monday morning.
After the cold morning on Monday, snow will develop across the area and possibly become heavy at times Monday afternoon. The snow will decrease in intensity Monday evening as this clipper system leaves the area.
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the Sioux Falls area for Monday afternoon and evening. We could see 5 – 8 inches of snow, along with northwest winds gusting to 30 mph.
More cold weather is forecast for the rest of the week. We could see wind chills as low as 40 below zero Tuesday night into Wednesday. Highs on Wednesday will have a hard time reaching zero.
