Skyforce announce "Corn Week" food drive

Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM & KWSN) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that they have partnered with South Dakota Corn to create “Corn Week” leading up to their next home game on Friday, March 6 against the Grand Rapids Drive.  

That night the Skyforce will be wearing special corn themed jerseys with the South Dakota Corn and Feeding South Dakota logos on them. These one-of-a-kind jerseys have a yellow base color with corn stalks on either side. Leading up to and during Friday’s game, the jersey will be auctioned off to raise money for Feeding South Dakota. Each Skyforce player will sign their respective jersey.

During the week leading up to next Friday’s game, the Skyforce will be conducting food drives at the following Lewis Drug locations around Sioux Falls:

  • Monday: 41st and Minnesota
  • Tuesday: 69th and Louise
  • Wednesday: 41st and Marion
  • Thursday: 26th and Sycamore
  • Friday: 12th and Kiwanis

Each day, the food drive will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m and all donations will benefit Feeding South Dakota. Each person who makes a donation of a non-perishable item will receive two free tickets to Friday night’s game.  Some items that are needed more than others include personal care items, peanut butter, cereal and baby food.
