Setting mobile food vendor standards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM0 - The city continues working on standards for about 25 mobile food vendors now operating in Sioux Falls.

Neighborhood Coordinator Adam Roach says standards must be set around hours of operation and location.

Roach says currently, commercial vehicles operating from parking spaces in the public right-of-way are illegal.

He says safety, parking and noise ordinances exist but an update will go before the council next month. He says the proposed standars will seek to clarify what are currently sometimes cumbersome regulations.
