SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - If you’re planning on traveling north or west of Sioux Falls tomorrow you may want to delay plans or at least make sure your winter survival kit is ready to go.
Forecaster Phil Schumacher says three to five inches of snow is forecast after midnight from Chamberlain to Brookings to Marshall, Minnesota.
The Sioux Falls forecaster says the new snowfall combined with the very strong winds, and falling temperatures, could produce blizzard conditions. He says to expect near zero visibility conditions especially in rural South Dakota.
Schumacher says winds will gust to 50 and Sioux Falls can expect two to three inches of snow.
