SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Senator John Thune is prodding the Departments of Labor and Homeland Security to end a hold on H-2B visas for seasonal employees.
Thune says H-2B’s are critical to South Dakota’s tourism and construction industries.
Thune says his office heard from businesses from all across South Dakota concerned that the stall could threaten their ability to fill important seasonal positions as the tourism season nears.
Thune says if there’s no movement in a few days a broader coalition of Senators will join the fray.
