SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Minnehaha County Jail inmate from Sioux Falls hanged himself with his bed sheets this morning.
Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Michelle Boyd says 40 year-old Phillip Sean Bland was found in his cell after midnight. Boyd says deputies administered CPR and took Bland to the hospital where he died at 1:08 am.
Bland, whose trial was set to start at the end of the month, was charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
He was being held on $200,000 cash bond.
