SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The world’s top bull riders are in Sioux Falls this weekend competing in the Built Ford Tough Series at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

Bull riding has the highest rate of injury of any rodeo sport but North Dakota cowboy Nathan Schaper says he’s been lucky.

Schaper, who also ranches in western North Dakota, says he broke his leg early last year and doctors had to insert a rod in his leg,  Schaper says he tore his bicep two years before that and had surgery to fix it.  But the 24-year-old cowboy says he feels he's been pretty lucky avoiding serious injury.

Free park-and-ride shuttle service is available Friday and Saturday at Elmwood Golf Course and Burnside Park.
