Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Beginning on Monday, April 13, 2015, South Minnesota Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction at West 85th Street to allow construction crews to begin work on the 85th Street and Minnesota Avenue Intersection Improvement Project. With this work, Anchor Lane will be closed at Minnesota Avenue. Also, lane widths on 85th Street to the east of Minnesota Avenue will be reduced.
Work will include construction of northbound and southbound right turn lanes, installation of traffic signals, and upgrades to underground utilities. Work on this project is expected to be completed by late August.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area. Drivers may want to consider alternate routes.
