SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - City volunteers are cleaning designated Sioux Falls neighborhoods this week as part of annual cleanup efforts.
Coordinator LuAnn Ford says the City wants to reduce an increasing number of nuisance calls.
Each year the neighborhoods, designated as NICE and KEEP areas, get a helping hand in the form of a cleanup with City volunteers. These neighborhoods also receive educational materials about the City and its services.
Ford says the City has been able to keep the number of neighborhood nuisance calls stable despite a 33 percent increase in population in 26 years.
