Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) - Police in Wagner, SD have released the name of a suspect in a Friday evening assault on a police officer. 55 year old Richard Dean Golus, of Lake Andes, is being held in the Charles Mix County Jail, on multiple charges, include assault of a law enforcement officer, ingesting a controlled substance and resisting arrest. Reports say that Golus allegedly hit Wagner PD Officer Brian McGuire in the face, following a traffic stop Friday night. McGuire suffered serious injuries and was treated at a Sioux Falls hospital.
