SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police made 9 D-W-I arrests in an unannounced saturation patrol Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Officer Sam Clemens says eleven extra officers were added to the patrol. They focused solely on traffic enforcement and were not available on other calls.
Clemens says officers issued13 speeding tickets and made 9 drug arrests.
Clemens say many of the saturation patrols are announced ahead of time but police like to keep a couple of them quiet each year.
