SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - An effort to raise the number of temporary beer and liquor licenses issued to an individual in a year failed in the Minnehaha County Commission meeting today.
Chairwoman Cindy Heiberger says the current limit of six limits consumer’s choices.
Heiberger gave an example of a consumer approaching a caterer for an event in the county. If that caterer has already held six events with a temporary license then the consumer doesn't get their first choice and has to look for another vendor.
A bid to increase the limit failed when only Heiberger and Gerald Beninga voted for the hike.
