SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Cinema Falls is hosting the South Dakota premiere of the critically acclaimed film “Songs My Brothers Taught Me” tonight at West Mall 7.
Katlyn Richter with South Dakota tourism says Director Chloe Zhao filmed entirely on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
Richter says that Zhao had a general interest in wanting to do something out here and when she arrived she fell in love with the area. Richter says that's when Zhao knew she had to shoot the film in South Dakota.
“Songs” is described as a compelling and complex portrait of modern life on Pine Ridge.
Tickets remain for a showing tonight at 6:30 at the West Mall 7. Tickets cost $11.50 and are available at cinemafalls.com.
